NRA first steps pistol orientation

The First steps program is designed to provide training with one particular firearm-Preferably the Participant’s. However, individuals who do not yet own a firearm may Attend a First Steps orientation using a firearm provided by a trainer. If a trainers firearm Is used, however, participants should be advised that the operational and characteristics Will not be the same on a different firearm. They should be encouraged to attend a new  First Steps orientation if they later purchase a different gun.

• Introduction to ammunition and the fundamentals of pistol shooting
• Introduction to pistol shooting from the benchrest position
• Introduction to pistol cleaning, storage, and training opportunities
